Abstract The photovoltaic module (PV) consists of many cells made silicon that lose their properties with an increased temperature. Increasing cell temperature represents intrinsic problem causes a drop in the open-circuit voltage PV module, thus affecting its performance. present work investigates using evaporating cooling as passive technique to absorb generated heat from and lower by cotton wicks immersed water (CWIWs) attached backside module. CWIWs decrease air dry increase humidity then produce cool help modules. results showed dropped about 22% attributed providing appropriate produced moist condition bristles exposed wind. output power generation efficiency have increment 16.3 W 53%, respectively. electrical exergy was equivalent under cooling, while entropy 14%
